They do NOT do feeding trials. All their experimentation is on YOUR pet.
They also do not have nutritionists on board.

Canidae/Felidae conducts no laboratory live animal testing. After 10 years
of production food and over a billion tons a month being fed without incident
world wide, we have passed the real world test without harming or caging a
single dog or cat that wasn't in a loving home or a home type environment.

Sincerely,
Canidae Pet Foods

They actually do do some feeding tests, according to their literature.
You'll note that what they say above is that they conduct "no
laboratory live animal testing". Which, frankly, I don't have a
problem with.

Yep, their feeding tests are on your dog, with no feed back and no quality
control

Create whatever scenario you would like to believe, but the fact is, they
SAID THEMSELVES that they do NOT do feeding trials.

When a pet is in a home, a little ice cream here, a bite of a hotdog there,
a little hamburger won't hurt, oh, and that loose poop that I didn't see
over there, or that upset stomach that got picked up at the local dog park,
does not work as a scientific feeding trial.
At home, there becomes such a mixed bag or real life , out of control
incidents, and who is to say accurate reporting? that any tests just have
no value.
