Default Three People, Three Dogs, Two Weeks

It's been a busy week...David was up here with Buddy and Maggie for two
weeks, which made things quite a bit more exciting than they normally
are, especially at doggie meal times. Maggie has always been a bit
headstrong and demanding, but David has done a lot of work with her
(including "doggie boot camp") and she is much easier to live with as a
result...she knows that she doesn't get any attention at all unless she
is sitting, she doesn't jump up like she used to, and best of all, she
knows "heel", so walking her is much more pleasant. She still loves
attention and probably gets more of it now that she's demanding it less.
She and Peanut played together a lot this time, something they haven't
done before...usually it's been Peanut and Buddy, or all three dogs.

HOWEVER, Maggie lost all of her brownie points on Saturday. David was
making katsudon, and while he had his back turned for a split second she
managed to get the plate with the really nice pork chops we'd bought off
the counter, where it broke over the pork (so we couldn't even wash them
off and use them). She's never done anything like that before, and we
still don't know how she managed it...Buddy could do it without
stretching, but he wasn't anywhere near the kitchen and Buddy doesn't do
things like that anyway.

But other than that the visit was pretty uneventful, dogwise...no
emergency room visits or almost-lost dogs, so we consider it a success.
