Okay, DH was doing something with a tool that makes a buzzing noise.

Beanie was napping in the crate. Evidently the noise bothered Bella, so
she got in the crate.

I'm sitting here looking at two doofy dogs in a crate for one.

That crate has been an object of desire for both dogs. I did call Bella
out of there. She's not allowed to muscle in on Beanie (who didn't
object).

Silly dogs.

This may become a new trend when it gets colder.

Friday and Rocky will share a crate (where do they find the
room?) when something in the house bothers them - usually a
puppy with which they've run out of patience.

Thanks.

I was happy that there wasn't a snarkfest.

I won't react next time, I think. It took a minute or so before I told
Bella to get out of the crate and I just sounded annoyed.

One of the things that really helped calm those two down was calling
them off of pushy behaviors. I'm still ultra sensitive about the
snarking.

Harley and Hannah get in the big crate together but often now I find
Harley in the crate we got for Hannah. He doesn't fit all the way
and he reminds me of a Banzai Kitten...

The three of mine would never voluntarily share a crate. I have a
picture taken at a tournament this fall, when we shoved all three of
them into one crate so we could break down and pack the others. All
three of them are standing up, shoulder to shoulder, round-eyed, with
the best, "Holy crap, what do we do now?!" expressions on their faces.

My sister has two dogs that share a crate all the time. A mother husky mix
and her grown pup often lay in the crate together and go to sleep. I've
offered multiple time to give them one of my crates and she says no they
actually prefer to sleep together no matter where they are in the house.

Jack and Jubal Early have their own crates. I have a new puppy in the
house. She annoys the hell out of everyone here. I got a small crate
for her for housebreaking purposes and to preserve my Birk's when I am
not watching her.

It has been chilly down here of late. I noticed a small black furry
thing in Jubal Early's crate it was Junie the 13 month old kitten. It
is quiet and warm in there and her new hang out. I think Junie thinks
Chica (the new pup) can't get in.

I may have to get my Lady girl a crate so she can have some peace and
quiet.

What kind of dog is Chica? Congrats! I am getting a new puppy too. It's
a nephew of Tuck's...
___________________________
Diddy,
Thanks for inquiring about Chica. What kind is she? Oh, who knows?
She was dumped and was running by back fence. My dogs kept barking and
barking. I thought it was a wild creature when I let them out at night.
Then I got a glimpse of something moving and thought it was Bailey from
next door, though he never hung out there.
She arrived around the first of October. I estimate her to be around
5 months now. My guess is that she is primarily Pit Bull. She is very
trainable, learns quickly, a little too aggressive to suit me. I can
see her becoming the alpha dog. Who is going to tell Jubal Early?
How did I know that one of Tuck's relatives was going to end up on
your door step? Do you know how long the pup is staying? Do the owners
plan to show it in conformation or obedience? Good luck with the new
pup. It is nice to have a pup in the house!
