This happened in Chile. It appeared that the first dog was hit by a truck
and then run over by another car, but he rolled over and at first seemed to
be OK.

This version also has audio commentary (in Spanish):
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/1..._n_148238.html

It also shows someone from a roadside assistance truck going to the dogs.
It would be great to learn more about what happened to the two dogs after
the incident.

And here is a longer version from Inside Edition with more commentary in
English (by Cesar Millan), and another segment on a black Lab and a little
girl, and a GSD mix who assisted some climbers:

I think it is instinctive for dogs to try to help people or other dogs. I
know that Muttley has come to me and checked that I was OK when I slipped
and fell on a couple of occasions, and he also comes to me with a very
concerned look when I sneeze. He will even try to climb into the chair with
me, or puts his paws on my back from where he has been lying on the bed.
That seems to be similar to the behavior of the dog that saved his choking
owner by administering the Heimlich maneuver.

Of course, most dogs are very adept at the "Hind-Lick" maneuver!

Paul and Muttley
