Someone who doesn't know what a "nutrient" is is not in a position to do that, though, and neither of the noisy advocates for homemade diets here do. That may be true. I don't know if it is or isn't. As a meat lover, I have very little knowledge of vegetarian diets. But I have to wonder why someone would do that to a dog, even if it is possible? We know, if we want to spend more than one second doing research, that dogs are carnivorous, or omnivorous. So why choose to force your dog to eat something that can't be "natural" or even "good" for it? Is it a moral thing? The whole "don't eat animals, it's wrong" thing? In that case, what the hell are they doing keeping animals captive for their own enjoyment in the first place? Aren't these people the same nuts who want to ban pet animals? I know I will receive no answers to my somewhat rhetorical questions, or if I do, they will be non-sensical. But I am really concerned about people like Gary and Chardonnay spouting these ideas and then never, ever, answering questions. How does Chardonnay ensure her raw-fed dogs are receiving the correct nutrients? We'll never know, as she refuses to post answers to simple questions. What is so dangerous about people like this is the scary fact that there are so many beginner dog owners and concerned people who just want to do a good job, and can read posts like Chard and Gary expound on, and think there is merit to it. I know it's crap, and most people will too, but what if I didn't? What if I believed them? Oh, dear.... You know, I think it's possible that Chardonnay and Gary may even be serious (although I have my doubts) and are really concerned about dogs' health (instead of being elaborate trolls). But if that's true, why won't she post what she feeds her dogs every day? Why won't she show us pictures of what a well-fed, raw-fed dog looks like? I'd be interested to her dogs, if only because I like to see pictures of nice-looking dogs. If I was beating my chest as hard and loudly as she is about my favourite topic, you can be damn sure I'd show you why I'm so proud! Hell, I have..it's in my sig line... I can't take anything she says seriously when she won't even tell me how to achieve what she says is achievable. Why is she keeping it such a secret? -- Phyrie Kiba the Cav's Pics: http://www.flickr.com/photos/phyrie/...758930/detail/ |

There is a lot less meat in kibble diets than in raw feeding by a long shot. If it was such a great diet why all the additives and differences from one brand to the next? |
