Trace amount of blood my Chihuahua's stool
Hello all,
My 10 year old Chihuahua recently had some teeth pulled, and the vet discovered that there was some trace amount of blood in his stool sample. The vet said it could have come from one of the dogs loose teeth, and that we should re-check it in a couple of weeks, We just had another sample tested, and the vet said there was still trace amounts of blood in the stool. I didn't get to talk to the vet today, as he just left a message at home, and I am supposed to call him on Monday. In the meantime, what could be causing this? My chihuahua does not have diarrhea, and the stool appears normal. He is energetic, eats very well, and exhibits no other symptoms. Anyone ever experience this with their dog? Darren |
