Default Hello Everyone!

I just joined and I wanted to tell everyone a little about myself. I
have two puppies: JoJo (a red Dobermann pinscher) and Piper (a
Chihuahua). They are both rescue dogs and I love 'em to death!
However, JoJo is a bit enthusiastic every time he meets anyone new.
Any ideas how to curb all the bouncing, spinning, and jumping? He was
so excited at meeting a dog on our walk the other day, he bit his
tongue or lip and was drooling blood for an hour. The woman walking
the other dog was wearing white pants and guess what JoJo decided to
do? That's right! Shake his head vigorously and spray blood
everywhere! Help?
Thanks,
Emily

Teach the desired behavior. Sit is an excellent default and is very
clear to the dog what you want from him.
