Let's hope he contributes a substantial part of his salary to animal
shelters. He should save ten times as many as he abused and killed. Let's
give him the benefit of doubt. If he makes big bucks he can afford to help;
otherwise he's broke.

BTW, are any football teams named for canines? Possibly the Browns?

Talk radio today seems to hit two areas only:
1. He's done his time...
2. Everyone who says that Vick's still a pile'o'poo is really
saying that dogs are more important than children.

You know, it's about more than the dog fighting itself (though that is
horrific enough). It's about torturing the dogs and finding
entertainment in whacking them against rocks or electrocuting them. I
find it hard to believe a person like that has the ability to change
what they are.

And it's also about the example he shows as a role model.

Yes. He has the right to play. But no team has the obligation
to hire him.

2. Everyone who says that Vick's still a pile'o'poo is really

When presented with idiocy, no response is necessary.

By the way, in case it's not clear, my outrage is directed
towards people who would say something like that - and
those people do indeed exist - NOT at Matt.

I got that.

FWIW, that latter opinion was one espoused by Charles Adler, a
Canadian syndicated talk radio host that some of you may know,
since be was once based in Florida and later in Boston.

Plenty of callers-in thought Vick would be great in the CFL,
seemingly ignoring that convicted criminals aren't eligible.

Wouldn't it be nice if the NFL adopted that same policy?
