Vicodin
Does anyone have any experience with using vicodin with large dogs?
My German Shepard is deteriorating rapidly and in pain. She has an appointment for x-rays, and blood work on 4/20 but in the meantime, I would like to make her as comfortable as possible. I have read that 5mg tablets of vicodin contain 500mg of acetaminophen, which is toxic to dogs, but would need to ingest 7 X 500mg tablets of acetaminophen to reach toxic effects. I am looking for an alternative palliative treatment but I may resort to a 1/4 tablet of 5mg vicodin from my prescription, if there is no alternative. Vicodin
Billy,
How's your dog doing today? You didn't mention the problem exactly. I understand your frustration. It's hard when they are in pain and we can't fix it. KT Don't Shop. Adopt! |
