Whatta handsome little fella! And your other dog seems fairly happy with the
newcomer. Very cute pup, thanks for the pics.

Training him to walk nicely on the leash. Keeping the leash in the
right hand, using left to correct, he walks on my left. Now someone
here who did obedience class with her dog says she was taught the
other way around. Can't imagine it matters a lot but none the less,
what is the "correct" way?

Wow, Amarok is adorable, and so is the shihtzu/lhasa too!

Poor little guy doesn't know that that puppy will be a lot bigger than
he/she is very soon. Both very cute. And Ruud, it's up to you which
side you teach him to walk on; it doesn't matter unless you plan on
doing competitive obedience. The norm is that "heel" position is dog
at person's left heel. Some people teach "left" and "right", or that
"side" means to go to either side. If your goal is household manners
rather than competition, you can teach him whatever you're comfortable
with.
