Default Potassium bromide for dogs

Although commonly used for epileptic dogs, the use of potassium bromide
is off label.
"As part of FDA’s unapproved animal drugs initiative, several agency
employees reviewed published literature on the safety of potassium
bromide in dogs. They recently published the results of their review in
the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association.1"

Other than ataxia during the introduction of KBr, Rocky's only
side-effect of KBr and PB was 8 years of no seizures.

Hi Matt!
That's good! As stated at FDA website, there was no formal study done,
these were all collected through user experiences. I'm glad to see, at
least, that they are doing this. There is so much off label drug use in
our critters, it's nice to have a place where there's a compilation at
least.
