Default Damp bed?

We have noticed that the bed of our 4 year old West Highland Terrier is
quite damp at the bottom. This has been going on for some time.
The wife said that this is because she sweats a lot, the dog that is ;-)
I always suspected that this was nonsense, Google has backed me up.
We have wooden floors. I have put a platform under the bed, but the bed is
still damp.
Pippa is female, has been "done" and the bed does not smell of wee.
I can't find any answers on Google. Anybody got any ideas?

Thanks

Steve
