Barking
We rescued a five year old pure bred Sheltie six months ago. He is a
delight in all respects except one. When we meet another dog out for a walk, our dog leaps on his hind legs and barks almost viciously. Whwn he gets close to the other dog he is polite and almost cordial. Then, when we walk away from the other dog he starts the angry barking once more. We are wondering if this is related to the herding instinct and would appreciate any suggestions for working the problem. Thanks. |
