SKUNK!
Now that my dog has had his first taste finding out what happens when
you harrass a skunk, what can I do to get him smelling like his usual doggy self? Thanks much, Karen Rodgers ********** Windbourne, folk singers of the future http://www.windbourne.com/ remove "_rice_" from my email address ********** |

Subject: SKUNK!
From: (Karen Rodgers) Date: 8/28/03 7:31 AM Pacific Daylight Time Now that my dog has had his first taste finding out what happens when you harrass a skunk, what can I do to get him smelling like his usual doggy self? Here is what I use, it works pretty well. 1/2 gallon distilled white vinegar (hydrogen peroxide can be subsituted here) 1/4 cup baking soda 1 TBL dish detergent (or shampoo) Pour mixture over animal, keep out of eyes. Apply to face with your hands. Let your friend sit there for a full minute or two ruminating on the error of his ways. Rinse with warm water and follow up with bath using regular dog shampoo. I got some Nature's Miracle de skunking stuff this morning. And I hope you never have to find out if it works. So far, it's great on carpet and tile, the jury's still out on whether it works on the dog or not.
