Default SKUNK!

Now that my dog has had his first taste finding out what happens when
you harrass a skunk, what can I do to get him smelling like his usual
doggy self?

Thanks much,

Karen Rodgers

Deb said in rec.pets.dogs.behavior:

1/2 gallon distilled white vinegar (hydrogen peroxide can
be subsituted here) 1/4 cup baking soda
1 TBL dish detergent (or shampoo)

Just don't store the leftovers - it might explodiate.

I got some Nature's Miracle de skunking stuff this morning. And I
hope you never have to find out if it works. So far, it's great on
carpet and tile, the jury's still out on whether it works on the dog
or not.
