quote it for no particular reason but to say great post.

I'm glad you did - I missed it yesterday.

I *think* that it was a post by Donald McCaig (on a mail
list) that talked about how a Border Collie should be able to
hang out comfortably (for hours on end) in a corner of the cabin
when there's no work to be done.

My Friday is a great house dog, yet when it's time to work (OK:
play agility or play frisbee), he's completely wired. Once he's
back in the minivan wire crate, he mellows out right away.
