Default Interesting development...

However, it just seems like Bodhi
is trying to resource guard his persons, against Coda. I'm currently
reading Jean Donaldson's "Mine!", but so far everything in there
pertains more to dog-people aggression over resources than
dog-dog. I'm going to bring it up to our obed. instructor tonight
in class, but any other tips?

Laps/people are commonly guarded resources. The possessor probably feels
empowered by the back-up potential. Probably some time spent without the
leaning and climbing on to you guys would be advised. Try to be very even about
your petting when both are around.

So I've read (about the laps...). So be even w/ the petting, and
not try to give Coda a tad more or first, or any of that. I think
at this point, Coda still rules over Bodhi (which makes your
back-up empowerment suggestion make sense). Bodhi pushes
his limits with Coda quite often, and it easily swayed that, "Little boy,
I am *still* the boss of you!" with a growl or mane tussle/slobber-fest.
Thank you for the suggestion, while I don't mind the lap time
(he leaves the hind-legs on the floor, front half of the body across
my lap), my husband probably would be glad. :-)
