Default Armidillo and dogs?

So, NO ONE; in this entire group: has any experience in dogs
and armidillos?
Not one person?
Hmmm...
Okay, I guess I'll get my butt in gear and do my own
research.

We've been packing for 2 days now, and we're pretty
tired, but making one helluva dent in things.

The bad news is: Luke suddenly turned up lame
in his front right paw.
There was no warning other than him suddenly limping
and the two front digits are swollen. Tomorrow we'll
be going to the vet.

He's pretty stoic about pain, but he won't let us
touch his paw without crying.
I ran a very powerful drive magnet over his paw
today without touching the paw, and he still cried.
So, I suspect he got a pin or needle or something
in there and now it's festering and infected.

Instead of packing tomorrow, I'll be running
Luke to the vet. Poor guy. I have no idea why,
but if anything bad around here happens to
a dog, it's usually Luke.
He's the same dog a few years ago that ended up
getting a grape vine trimming up in between his
toes about 1/2 inch in.
After raking and cleaning the yard, he must
have found the only_ twig left and lo and behold,
it ended up shoved up in between his toes on his
back paw.

Still a million things to do, but it's getting
done.
Sore bodies here, but happy minds.

Terri
