We breed them extra nice up here. Oh, they also have a hockey gene - it was hell breeding out the baseball recessive. BWHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAH Paulette~ --Matt. Rocky's a Dog. |

From: "Emily Carroll" Date: Sun, Sep 21, 2003 9:38 PM Message-id: Although the little PB just stood out to me as she/he looked just like my Fanny I had many moons ago. It would've been much more difficult had she not been in a harness and only had a head shot. The harness meant nothing to me, but the stance and face was a give away so if I just had a head shot I would have still known. I also pegged the Alapha Blue Blood Bulldog (or whatever the heck it is) as a American Bulldog...and hadn't a clue on the ridgeback (harder without seeing the ridge and not being the deep red color I'm used to!) and the black mouthed cur was a close 2nd, The black mouth cur did look like a PB or PB mix to me too. I have never seen on e in RL so I would have though Anatolian Shepherd and PB mix perhaps. simply because I used to know a Pit that had very similar markings, color, and demeanor. From: "Emily Carroll" Date: Sun, Sep 21, 2003 11:01 PM Message-id: Some of these stocky ones seem that their legs are so short that their tummies are hitting the ground. Yup. And some of the stocky ones aren't that short, and don't look it. I prefer something in the middle between the over-heavy and super-slim of the two extremes. Well here they usually call the stocky ones show or English Labs, I definitely see more ubiquitous black labs here but the big blocky headed heavy ones are usually yellows.Chocolates are gangly and slim nosed of the ones I know, and are a bit spooky. Of course all of this is a generalized statement FME: ) Paulette` ~Emily --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). You know when I was a little girl I would go around to the dogs shows, (those times they were all benched shows) and would spout off ever so precociously what each bred was all about. Yeah there were people that couldn't stand me then either. ; ) Oh yeah? I didn't see it. I'll have to check it out. It had one or two of the dogs from this test - - the white Presa, I think - - and I Chihuahua with a breaking stick in its mouth! HEEHEHE A fisherman friend has a Georgia Bulldog, and most everyone cries PB! I never knew there were all these different types of bulldogs until today. Bulldogs actually have much bigger heads than PBs. We buy dog food from a distributor who has an American Bulldog with a head like a cinder block. I wonder how often he gets mistaken for a PB Unfortunately, he's totally untrained, and intact, and now that he's about a year old he's a bull in a china shop, so he's tied outside all the time. Yes very sad. It is. He's huge, not tall of course but a squat bundle of 100 lbs or so of solid muscle. A real sweetie and very handsome; he's black and white, though pretty dirty these days from living outside. No manners whatsoever - - I always sit down to greet him because he can knock me over in a heartbeat. I hope he doesn't end up in the pound someday. Mustang Sally |
