Standardized hand signals
Suppose you were making a set of universal cues. "Stay" (raised palm
toward the dog) seems intuitive. Do you use palm down and fingers dropping for 'Down'? What about 'Sit' and 'Come'? |

What about 'Sit' and 'Come'? Sit : snap fingers, 2 fingers pointing up. Come : motioning towards me with hand. Down: pointing at the floor. Heel/platz: pat my thigh. Suppose you were making a set of universal cues. "Stay" (raised palm toward the dog) seems intuitive. Actually that's a down. Do you use palm down and fingers dropping for 'Down'? See above. What about 'Sit' and 'Come'? Come is a sweeping arm toward you. Sit is a sweep upward with the hand.
