Default It doesn't work that way

I'm teaching Pepper some basic tricks - shake hands and roll over, in
addition to the down, sit, stand, stay. Shake hands she picked up on very
quickly, and will often lift a paw when her food dish is on the way down or
when she wants her leash put on to go for a walk. A few days ago, each dog
got a fresh beef bone, and they spent about 2 hours the first day working on
them. Although there are two bones and two dogs, the better bone is *always*
the one being gnawed on by the other dog at any given moment.
Bonnie was grinding away at a bone, while Pepper watched wistfully. She
tried feining nips and under-her-breath woofs, and bringing Bonnie a toy to
trade. Then, she sat next to Bonnie's head and raised one paw - unfortunately,
Bonnie does not reward performances as well as I do!

That is too cute. I have a dog that trades too. I guess you will have to
give him something better to trade with next time. g
