Shelly & Guiness
Shelly~
I went and looked at your dogs, and they are beautfiul and their coats are so lustress, then I thought about Guiness. Now bear with me,as I am OLD... AND FORGETFUL and there are a LOT of SHELLYS here. ; ) Did Guiness die? When? I am so sorry... I know that I have been gone for a year, so have missed a lot of these sad times. So if anyone has lost a dog since summer before last wlll you post so I will know and I want to say a prayer for them. Yes I know it sounds hokey, but I think it is a good thing, at least I feel it is for me and the dogs I have known. doG Bless Paulette~ "The only thing about resisting temptation is you might not get another chance" |

Actually, at the beach this past weekend, I was reminded of her when a couple in the cottage next to us came out with their dogs. Two young labs, and an old matriarch GSD. She was playing referee to the labs & my boys who where playing like crazy fools, kicking up sand everywhere. But, you could tell that she thought that was her job & it made her happy to try & instill order. :-) She was nearly 14 years old. Naw, not hokey at all. Thank you, Paulette. There have been a lot of sad losses this past year, but I'll let people tell there own stories. In turn, there've also been a lot of happy things as well, Baby Bodhi was born 4 days after we lost Guiness. His planning was a long time in the making, but the timing was uncanny. And, while he is really *nothing* like her, he does do things now & then that Coda's never done, that remind me of her. Shelly & The Boys |

From: "Shelly & The Boys" Date: Mon, Sep 29, 2003 10:35 AM Message-id: Shelly There were so many posts on the rescue thread that I lost the one I wanted to respond to you about. Hope you are having a great vacation! Now are you somewhere other than in your area and you are taking a lap top with you? Or are you on vaca just relaxing at home? VERY NICE. I know that for the last ten years I always take off doing my rescue except in emergency situations for some time off in August and half of September. I NEED TO DO IT. My Mom always said to me "Take good care of yourself,as if you get sick who is going to care for the dogs" So as a good daughter I listen to my Mom. : ) Hope you are doing everything you want to do.
