Default Weimarener dripping blood

Hi There

I have a 7 year old male Weimaraner - not spayed - who once in a while -
every 4 to 6 months - will drip a few drops of blood coming from his penis.
This happens after being alone and he sees me or my wife. He gets excited
seeing us and will drip blood.

Dog eats/drinks very well and does not go to the bathroom more than usual.
Does not lick his penis and is still full of energy.

Took dog to vet and he puts him on antibiotics which solves problem. Am
told - by vet - that his prostate seems ok for a 7 year old dog.

Tried to give the dog cranberry juice to drink but he does not seem to like
the smell of it.

Has anyone had this problem?

Thanks for your input.

Regards
