Default desperate for any good advice

hi, ok, i have no idea how this whole alt. thing works, but i've
become desperate enough to seek out the counsel of strangers. i
adopted a 5-year-old chihuahua named Pepito two months ago and he is
an absolute perfect buddy. He had a touch of kennel cough, was a bit
shy and shaky most of the summer, but so great with other dogs and
people. Now, he's feeling better, put on some weight and has all of a
sudden become really aggressive with my roommate's chow-mix, Buster,
and some strangers. Growling, barking, then rushing the other dog and
starting huge, ugly biting fights. (Have the punctured fingers to
prove it, too). He's also barking at kids, neighbors, even visiting
friends. It's killing me because he was so sweet and nice usually and
now, the house is tense because we never know when he's going to get
nasty. please, i am begging anyone who has gone through this befo
can you give me any hope and advice on remedying this situation. i
don't want to give him up and i can't afford to move. do they
eventually grow out of this? how do i handle it? someone, please, help
a dog lover out! you can email me at

thank you, from me, my roomies and the two dogs currently trying to
devour one another in my kitchen.
