I have Ender a Malamute and Loki a Malamute mix. Ender's favorite
toy is a stuffed wolf that howls when you squeeze it. It was one of
his favorite cuddle toys when he was tiny, but when he figured out that
it howled it became his favorite beat-em- up toy. It's a nightly
ritual for him to gnaw on it until it howls, then jump around killing
it each time it makes the noise. Loki has a stuffed monkey w/ rope
legs toy that she is fond of, but not in the same way. She isn't as
into toys, she mostly just hides it away in the secret hidey spot.
(The secret hidey spot is between my sons bed and the wall... not so
secret, but we don't tell her that.)

Dobermans, and their favorite toys are whatever I choose them to be (grin).
I use toys as training tools. They have "floor" toys, but also "special"
toys that only come out during training. I myself like the riot stick (a tug
toy made from fire hose with a handle on it), so that's their most
favoritest toy. But any toy I pick up becomes highly desired because I've
trained them that toys mean interaction with me.
