Question
My sister just got a four month old puppy. It is a chinook., if it is
even an official breed yet. Anyway she doesn't know much about dogs. This the first dog she has had as an adult and she is in her 60s now. She is taking the dog to obedience classes, but she has an on leash problem. She says the dog will walk with her for a while, but then the dog lays down and doesn't want to go any farther. I asked her how long these walks were, she said a couple of miles. I told her I thought the puppy was probably bored and that she should be taking it for short walks and making the walks really fun and really rewarding. Am I on the right track? Merry |

Merry Merry, a chinook is a breed of sled dogs from the northeast. Waaaaayyy cool dogs! Post a pic if you can! It concerns me slightly that a sled dog doesn't want to GO GO GO. She might consider a vet visit first. |

Fortunately for her they're probably the mellowest, most easy-going of the sleddogs.
