Default toy box

the dog toys have started to take over the house, so i went to cost plus and
bought a wicker basket, with a hinged lid, to store their toys in.
i put all the toys in the box, and closed the lid. as the dogs watched in
fascination, i opened the box and told them to get a toy. they each picked
one from the box, and i closed the lid.
within a few hours, Lola was sitting pretty in front of the box, pawing at
it once to get my attention, when she wanted a new toy (smart dog). Manu
has taken to waiting for Lola to pick a toy and then stealing it from her
(naughty dog).

i'd like to teach them to put their toys away on command. anyone have any
suggestions on how to do this?
