Default irony

today as i left work, i noticed a brown nose poking out the window of the
car parked next to mine. i, of course, stopped for a better look. it was a
lovely old chocolate lab, trying desperately to get her nose and eyes to the
open bit of the window at the same time so she could figure out who was near
the car.

now THIS car belonged to a coworker. so i called into the building and
asked permission to pet. the response was, "the door is unlocked, i'm sure
she'd love a hug".

so i crawled inside for some nice retriever smooches.

just the thing to take my mind off the impending traffic jam.
