Default warm fuzzies

something happened today that made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. after
Manu's class today, one of the trainers came up to me to talk about Manu.
he had been failing his "stay" exercises miserably, so i assumed it was to
talk about that.
instead he went on about what a wonderful dog Manu is. about how sweet and
loving and solid his temperament is. about how out of the thousands of dogs
they teach every year, occasionally one or two come around that are just
special. and Manu is one of those dogs. he said based on his interaction
with him so far, and watching Manu interact with us and the other class
participants, he just feels that he is one of those rare, special dogs, a
dog who is destined to make everyone around him happy for many years.
as he talked, i got all warm and happy inside. it was like someone was
praising *me*, not my dog. i still feel all wonderful.

i *knew* there was something special about Manu, despite SO's reluctance to
love him, despite his propensity to pee on the couch. i knew. and it was
so amazing to have someone else see it in him.

anyway, that's enough warm squishy thoughts for now.

i can't believe how lucky i was to find him.
