Sentimental about the old dog

I am dog-sitting for an old dog who has been a friend of mine for
quite a few years now. He's not the smartest dog I have ever known,
but as friendly and good-natured as they come.

He won't be around much longer now. He is pushing 13 and he's pretty
feeble. He still enjoys life, though. I posted a picture of him in
alt.binaries.pictures.animals, getting up to bark when someone arrived
at the door.
