Vacuuming dog hair
I have a question for y'all. Someone told me the other day that wiping down
a velour car seat with a damp cloth prior to vacuuming would help in the removal of the shorthair-type of dog hair. Has anyone here ever heard this before? If so, what's your experience? I have a male Pointer who *sheds*like*mad*. He's white and, of course, the interior of my new Acura is black. I bought this car specifically with cloth interior because he's a regular passenger and I was leery of having my nice leather seats marred by dog nails; unfortunately, it's turned out that his hair is impossible to remove and I'm sorry now that I didn't buy leather after all. I've tried covering the back set, which is pretty much his exclusively, but his hair is _insidious_ and it's mostly a waste of time. So, I heard this about dampening the seats prior to vacuuming, and I'm wondering if it really works. I'm afraid of wetting down the seats because the cloth is a velvety fabric. Can you tell I'm really obsessive about this car? :-)) Thanks for any feedback. ====================== Better a bleeding heart than no heart at all. |
