Default did my good deed for the day

well, i did something i've never done before. you know those guys you see
on the side of the road... the ones with cardboard signs that say
something like, "homeless vet, please help, god bless". anyway, as i was
studiously averting my gaze (so as not to catch his eye and feel guilty), i
noticed the two dogs at his feet. they were lying there nicely, one
grooming the other. they looked like yellow lab mixes of some sort, your
generic mixed breed yellow dogs.
anyway, i got to thinking. if you have to be homeless (ugh, BTDT), having
dogs for company would make the experience a lot less lonely. so anyway, i
circled the block and stopped at Petco. picked up some dog food and rawhide
chews. and circled around to drop them off. we talked a bit, the pups gave
me kisses, and i went on my way.

it felt nice.

watch out, Suja, i'm after your halo...
