randy little so and so!
We have had a dog for 12 yrs and today we went to a local rescue centre and
bought another, a 6 month old pup, called Max, he's all black and looks like a black retriever, he's already loo trained and is good in the house. We saw him yesterday while out for a run, and had him reserved pending compatibility with our other dog, they were both in the run loose and got on fine; now they are both at home and my dog wants to have it off with the pup, and keeps on mounting him, i have a book where i sit and when they start the carry on i shout NO and bang the book, this stops the pup, but my own dog just keeps going till i drag him off. How can i stop him doing this, i don't want the pup picking this up, is there a treatment (non surgical) that will curb it? perhaps a tablet from the pet shop that i can give him? yours in anticipation. |

Just a guess - your old dog is establishing dominance over the pup, letting the pup know who is boss in the house, and it's nothing sexual. They are both male, correct? Was your old dog ever neutered? FurPaw -- Brain cells come and brain cells go, but fat cells live forever. To reply, unleash the dog. |
