Default Tenants' New Pit Bull

My tenants (mother and daughter) came to the mainland yesterday, and I
drove them around and helped them choose a puppy. They wanted a small
dog, but we went to a shelter and I managed to convince them to get a
young pit bull. His name is Joey and he is as good-natured as they
get. And he's gonna get BIG. I think he'll be just perfect for an
8-year-old girl. After all, what good is a chihuahua when the
Molester comes around, eh???

I just wish I could have been there when they got back and presented
this new acquisition to dad, who didn't want a new dog in the first
place and insisted on a small one. HORK! **** happens, man.

This is gonna be nothing but fun. I want to get out there to play
with that puppy some more, and I'll put up a web page with some puppy
& kid pictures real soon now.

You'd better hope dad doesn't make them take the dog back. Its never a good
idea to get a dog against a spouse's wishes. Hopefully it'll all work out.

Is he going to let them keep the puppy?

It probably isn't a good idea to have him if Dad is totally against the idea.
The dog could pick up on the dislike and turn on Dad - or Dad could even end up
being abusive to the unwanted dog.

Hope it works out for the puppy and his new humans.

Echoing your sentiments, Tara. I am surprised that a dog is being
placed in a home where all the members are not in agreement on whether
they want it or not. Could be a disaster waiting to happen.
