Apparently she's got them working stock, too.

My boys' sire, Intrepid SpacemanSpif, won a lot of races for Lori and
her all-collie sled team. That team dominated mushing in her part of
Michigan for years, she says. He, like her other collies, was also a
working dog, with titles.

I understand that a team of Poodles did well in the Iditarod a few
years ago. Does anyone have a pointer to confirmation of this? I'd
like to see photos, to tell the truth.

Someone named John Suter ran them. Unfortunately poodles'
coats are unsuited for that kind of climate and they had
problems with snow sticking to them and their coats freezing
to the ground when they napped. The Iditarod committee
changed the rules so that only "northern breed dogs"
(whatever *that* is) are allowed to enter.

I know there's a team in the Great Lakes area (?) of Belgians
and I think she runs other dogs with them (Huskies, maybe?).
Brrr...too cold for me!
But, I do think it would exciting to watch, because it's a breed I love.
