Last week you may recall that my tenants came to the mainland to get a
puppy. They wanted a yippy little chihuahua type thing, but I
convinced them to get a pit bull instead.

Now I'm out here at my house, and today I spent quite a bit of time
watching Joey play with Holly. They seem to love each other, and I'm
wondering if that is likely to remain the case if they spend a lot of
time together all through his adolescence? And what about the old
male dog in my tenants household? He is used to being top dog, but in
another year, Joey will be capable of killing him in about 30 seconds.
Think he'll do it???

I know these are questions we all should have considered before
getting a pit bull, but, you know, he was just so damn cute and we
were in a hurry to get something...
