Default Flowers or Bow Ties?

Dillemma: wedding plans moving forward. Friends are criticizing my plans
to make my dogs wear flowers around their necks for the ceremony. Criticism
is generally about them being BOYS, not about how its cruel to make a dog
wear a flowery collar for 10 minutes. Bow ties were suggested as
alternatives.

My feelings are that dogs are dogs. They dont' need to be worried about
stupid human gender roles. Kavik's white fur would look lovely with flowers
on it. Just gorgeous.

If folks arguments were that putting costumes on dogs is horrible, that I
would get. But I don't get that boy dogs have to be macho, or have to play
the same stereotype as a human male. I think its a bizarro concept. Dogs
like flowers, or at least mine do. They spent hours last summer in my
garden sniffing all the different flowers. Was adorable.

Do you think costumes on dogs is cruel?

Do you think boy dogs should wear bow ties instead of flowers?
