ADVICE - Tennis ball fetish
I am in need of little advice. I have two shar-pei's just over a year old.
Just recently the older dog, Balvenie, has come to love fetching and catching the tennis ball. It has gotten to the point where she won't have any thing to do with our other shar-pei, Amber. My fiancé has taken all the tennis ball away hoping she will play with our other dog, Amber. For the past couple of days, I have noticed a change in Balvenie's behavior. Everyday I leave for school in the morning and put our dogs in their kennels. I get them in the kennels with their favorite treats. For the last two days, Balvenie (the one with the tennis ball fetish), will run away into our bedroom and cowards, like we have just punished her. I wasn't sure what to do so I grabbed one of the tennis balls (thinking this will entice her) and threw the ball into her kennel. Nothing, she still cowards. I had to retort to picking her up and putting in her kennel. Any ideas for why she is behaving like this? Any advice anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Mary |
