Default How I Know I'm in the Right Field

I take lousy pictures. No matter how pleasant I try to look when somebody is
snapping my picture, I end up with an unconvincing smile that doesn't show in
my eyes. I have a bag problem (have since birth - it's amazing to see pictures
of a 3 month old infant with bags under her eyes!), and they're apparent in
most of my photos. Even if I don't know I'm being photographed, the result is
not flattering.

However, I have some pictures that students have shot of me while I was working
with dogs and completely unaware that the pictures were being taken.

They all look like the picture on my website. I look genuinely happy, and
years younger than in my other photos. The love I feel for the dogs just
shines in my face.

If I needed convincing that I'm in the right field, this would be it. :}

This is a tangent, but.... Leah, do you know that those are referred to
by some in the medical field as "allergic shiners"? (I've got 'em, too, &
it doesn't help that I've got pale olive skin. G)

Why allergic shiners? It's supposed to be due to an allergy?

According to what I read, darker circles/bags under the eyes are one of
the tell-tale signs of childhood allergies.

I was born with 'em.

Weeel - you can be born with allergies, too. G Were you, by any chance,
also the sort of baby who used to be called "colicky" and is now called
"hypersensitive"?
