Fence-fighting and leash aggression
Could it be bad doggy-manners to refuse an invitation to fence fight
or to display no reaction to on-leash aggression? Some well-socialized dogs seem to make a 'pro forma' reaction, as if they were fulfilling a duty. And dogs' reaction to Mac, who reacts to them not at all unless they are an immediate threat, is interesting. They seem deflated and regard him with a disapponted look. We're still looking for ways to reduce the stress of fence-fighting at our cramped little shelter. We just received a large bequest which will allow us to do considerable remodeling, but may not let us expand. |
