Default Farting Dog - Illness

Hi,
We have a dog, primarily terrier mix, who for 3-4 days had a bad case
of gas. The other night it developed to the point you could actually
hear his guts rumbling and his stomach gurgling. He had diarrhea with
mucus, and then just mucus last night. Earlier today he was
lethargic, though now, as evening closes, he seems a bit more perky.
He has not eaten anything today, except some grass he threw up. He
has had a few slurps of water. He seems better than earlier, with a
few bursts of energy.

What does this sound like? Food poisoning? Anything I should be
aware of? How soon should he go to the vet? First time he has ever
been sick. The other dog - a 6 month old - is doing fine.

Thanks.

I don't know what it is, but if it were my dog, I'd get him in to see a vet
tomorrow, and bring a stool (or mucus) sample with you.

Hope he recovers.

I think you should get this dog to the vet immediately. He might have
something blocking or severely irritating his digestive tract.

Sounds like a dog with a typical stomach ailment - if he were mine, I would
take him to the vet. I give my dogs immodium for the runs, although there
is some contraversy about that.
