Are Muzzles Safe?
I just bought a muzzle for my 11 year old Samoyed. He has cockabers(sp?) on his belly, very close to his skin and I need to cut them off. When I do try to cut them off he wants to bight the heck out of me. He also doesn't like me cutting his nails. So I figured I could use the muzzle while cutting his nails too. I was just wondering. Is a muzzle safe to use on older dogs? Thanks! |

Is a muzzle safe to use on older dogs? Absolutely as long as its not too small for his muzzle. Different types of muzzles provide different levels of comfort for each dog but for temporary use, as long as it fits properly, its safe. -- Tara |

Howdy Von,
Yes they are. One thing you don't want to do is leave it on a dog unattended. Once you are done doing what you have to do take it off. Frank X. Morris http://community.webtv.net/Sulkhalil/SalukiCornerChime |

Yes, for brief periods without strenuous activity. The muzzle shouldn't
interfere with his ability to regulate body temp. "Von Fourche" wrote in message . net... I just bought a muzzle for my 11 year old Samoyed.
