Go to this link Tracy posted on deaf dogs, go to the boxers and find
the one named Frannie. If you took her face but got rid of all the
brown, you would have the boxer that we had at our house. You would
have to add some black/gray spots, too, though. There are some very
different faces on that page. Look at Jada, for instance. Very
different jowls and everything. What is more purebred boxer? Or does
that have nothing to do with purebred? As you have already noticed,
no doubt, I am boxer illiterate. Having one around for a while has
made me want to find out more, though. Either that or I am just
missing my only boxer experience too much. Or both.

I bet she was adorable Jada isn't a purebred Boxer. She *might* have
Boxer in her but I doubt it. A couple of them look like either purebred
(byb) Am. Bulldogs or AmBull/Boxer mixes.

Hah, I just looked at the AmBulls listed and did see where several of the
ones I thought were mixed or purebred AmBulls are also listed there.

So the jowly look is more boxer instead of less? I think of the
bullies as more small-eyed, but I have not seen a lot of AmBulls,
mostly pit bulls and pit mixes. Unfortunately, tons of pit bulls are
on display at every shelter walk I have ever been on. The people at
the school were worried that the boxer was a PB, but I told them I
didn't think she was and also that even if she was, it would not be a
problem with a school full of kids, only a school full of dogs. Since
our school had only the one dog hanging around and she was super sweet
with all people, they calmed down. Perhaps I should have let them
think she was a PB just for the good PR for that much in need of good
PR breed, but, alas, I am not into deliberate breed confusion even if
I no doubt have done tons of unintentional breed confusion over the
years.

You know, she wasn't all that adorable in the classic sense.
Pathetic, yes, Funny looking, yes. Adorable? Basically after you
got to know her, but not on looks alone. One of my aunts had a pug
she said was so ugly she was kinda cute. Not that bad, but in that
same ballpark!
