Default OT - possibly - dumb question - likely!

Hi,
Not really a behaviour question.
My puppy likely has worms. Although we purchased him from a reputable pet
store, and he was treated for worms, we found what looks very much like a
round worm near his bed. This will be confirmed tomorrow after a trip to the
vet.
I was wondering if there was any threat of contracting worms from his
licking us and other interactions?

Thank you

Only if you get them in your mouth. Wash your hands very carefully after
handling his feces, and clean up *immediately* every single time.

And, by the way, no pet store is reputable or responsible. You've supported
an industry that treats pets as nothing more than consumer goods. You've
ensured that his dam, and possibly sisters, and even father will spend their
lives in a cage, and when no longer useful, be euthanized, and you can only
hope that it is humane.

PS,

What happens to the dogs that are not purchased? Presumably they are
euthanized, and therefore, presumably, we saved this one's life. I won't
return him, and I'll know for the future. I suggest you direct your
diatribes at those running puppymills, and those chains selling their
product. Demonstrate in front of of such a store and educate the masses
before we make such a horrific mistake!
