I am hoping someone can give me some helpful advice. I moved into an apartment with a very tall and very open spiral staircase to get to the main entry. I knew my dog would have an issue with this because in the past he has had fear of bridges and other high up open spaces; however, he overcame his fear working a few stairs at a time and after a couple of days was finally able to go upstairs and did so regularly for a week or so. Then I went on vacation. When I came back he handled the staircase fine for the first day, but on the second developed a fear again. In doing his same work to get up, (going up a few more stairs with each attempt) I think he may have slipped slightly and scared himself more and now he will not even go up 3 stairs!!! Help. I don't know what to do. I have neighbors with small children and he barks as he gets desperate to come in. Does anyone have experience with overcoming this type of phobia?? Thanks, Nadine
