Default Need Ideas

I don't ever remember seeing anyone have problems along these lines, but
this really can't be unique. Izzy has her foot bandaged still from her
toe amputation. Her mom had to leave her unsupervised today for a
couple of hours today, and came home to find out that she has chewed off
the bandage. They had put an extra long cone on her (the end of the
cone sticks waay past her face), and sprayed the bandage with some sort
of lick-deterrant. She is incredibly flexible, and has apparently found
a way to contort herself enough to stick her foot in her mouth.

Has anyone gone through anything like this? They were thinking of using
something like a basket muzzle, but I didn't think that they can be
safely left on an unsupervised dog. Any ideas (we abandoned the thought
of sticking her in a straight jacket, and instead will be fitting her
mom for one)?

Suja
