Default help needed

Hello all,

A friend of mine has a Yorkshire Terrier cross. about two months ago whilst
clipping his fur she nipped the end of his tail off with the scissors. it
was the extreme end not much of an injury and was taken to the Vet. straight
away.

Since then although the wound has healed he has gone through episodes of
literally attacking his tail and chasing it around the room, he has also
become very agressive and snappy towards his owner which is totally contrary
to his behaviour over the last 8 years she has had him.

He has been taken to 3 different vets all have looked at him and say its 'in
his mind'

Today she was out walking with him and his tail started gushing with blood
and he was again taken to the vet who can find nothing wrong with him.

She has tried bandages, mustard etc but cannot get him to leave the tail
alone. The agression is certainly a worry anybody got any ideas please.
