Default Barking dog

My next door neighbor bought a dog. They keep it in the back yard. The dog
barks non-stop for hours. I politely asked my neighbors to keep their dog
quiet. The dog still is kept outside and still barks constantly.

I filled up a cassette tape of the dog barking, got a complaint form from
the local animal control authorities. I showed the tape and the form to my
neighbor, and told him that my next course of action was to get the
authorities involved. My neighbor ha a fit and started calling me names.

Too bad that a good neighbor relationship was spoiled because of
irresponsible dog ownership

Too bad indeed. My neighbors stopped talking to me when I, politely, asked
that their dog stopped crapping in my yard.

Yes, it is too bad. Nolo Press has a book on Dog Law that offers some
good preliminary steps for trying to resolve the problem at the lowest
level possible. Your local library may have a copy. see
