Default Ok to howl with your dog??

We have some friends with a retired Greyhound, Rupert. Rupert
absolutely loves it when the family(of people) all howl together. He
joins in and gets very vocal and seems so content. Its really odd and
completely hilarious. Anyway, we have a 3 month old Pomeranian and we
tried this. I think she seemed extremely excited, if not a little
baffled at why we were speaking another languauge. But my husband
thinks it might be traumatizing for her. What do you think?
